Hi Gurus,
There was a minor RFE on my wife's I-485 (incomplete form I-1485 - a tick mark was missing) on 18 June. Our lawyer received the RFE and forwarded to us (I am not sure if we also are supposed to receive a copy of the RFE directly from USCIS but we did not). We replied to it and the lawyer sent it to USCIS this week such that it would have been received by USCIS on 1 Jul 09(Wed). I was expecting to see a status change to something like "Response to request for evidence received, and case processing has resumed". However, the case status changed to "Document mailed to applicant".
I am puzzled with this. Does anyone have a similar experience? Any guess what it might be?
Just getting anxious.

I and my wife are on h1. I want to come on her h4. She recently applied for h1 extension as her employer is nonprofit org and has some policies of his own, he files every year. She filled in may�09 and got receipt number, as the case is still pending who we can apply for h4 now. Is there any way around to apply for my h4 while the case is still pending?

Please send greeting cards with the same motivation we all sent flowers.
We should not look ungrateful. People will appreciate this community even more if we show gratitude too. The press we got for our non violence movement along the lines of Mahatma Gandhi, speaks of our integrity and our culture.
We have a strong cultural background, with Mahatma Gandhi as our visionary and ideal. We follow his principles and I am sure if he had been here today, he would have had the same drive to thank the government for revoking their decision and restoring faith in the immigrant community?

My company changed address while my transfer H1b petition was pending. We moved just across the street from the original location and thus the company did not call USCIS to notify them of the address change because we still had access to our old mail box. Unfortuanately my approval notice was returned back as undeliverable and I received an email to that regard.
The secretary from office called USCIS and had the address changed immediately, its already been a month but we still haven't received the approval notice at the new address...has any one else here has similar experience...how long do you think we should wait before we call the USCIS again ?

I remember some time back having seen a link where you could get the list of labors/I-140 for a particular employer. I am not sure if it is in http://www.flcdatacenter.com/ . Can some one point to the correct link where you could get the list of H1 or Labor or I-140s approved for an employer based on the company name?

Can I change to different employer while the i140 is pending and also keep the PD. What i would like to do is..i want to change to a different employer and ask the present employer to keep the i-140 process as it is.
Is it ok if the i-140 gets approved while i no longer work for that company. I understand if i get any RFE, then employer need to respond accordingly.

i am in a small problem and it would be great if someone could help me out.
i came in us on f1 visa in jan2008 and i completed my mba in dec 2010. my opt expired on 31st march 2010. but before my SEVIS could expire i transfered my SEVIES to new college for summer term. now my visa is for 5 years ending on jan 2013. i know as long as i stay in US i am maintaining my status. but now i need to go home for few days. So how is it going to wrok for me? Do i need to go for new visa stamping or can i come back on same visa ? if i need to get new visa can i get it done in US before going home ? What are my option and what are my chances of coming back?
