There should be a option to modify the the Application. I guess you can't modify PassportNo, Name etc.. But you can modify education details.

Hello,
I filed 485 and also obtained EAD and AP. My wife has her own H1b through her employer, but used the AP from my 485 application once to enter the U.S., so right now her I94 shows an �AOS� status without an expiration date. Now her employer just filed H1b extension for her and the case is still pending.
My question is:
1) Can she travel internationally while her H1b extension case is pending and come back using AP? I was told this could void her H1b extension application according to the �last action rule�, is that true?
2) If 1) will be a problem, could it help if she stays aboard until her H1b extension gets approved and have the document mailed to her before she comes back?

I had a robbery case in the U.S. in 1995 and was sentenced to 9 years with 85%. Later, I was picked up by immigration and deported for the case in question. While I was in immigration jail I fought my case and won it but immigration appealed it on the first court. I decided to return voluntarily to my country instead of fighting my case over. Now I want to return home in the U.S.. I want to know how do I go about reopening my case.

I was on F1 visa and applied for my GC / I485 thru my spouse few years back. Unfortunately while coming back from India 3 years back, I used my stamped F1 visa instead of AP. My lawyer told me that due to this, I have abondoned my AOS and he has to withdraw my 485 and refile it when it will be current. Few days back spouse became current and attorney was preparing to apply for 485 again but in USCIS the status of my application was still shown pending not withdrawn. To our surprise, we saw 2 GC in the mail and the online status was shown approved. But the attorney is saying that we should re-file the 485 since USCIS did not withdraw my application and approved it. They says that I might have issues if my absence is detected when I will apply for citizenship later. Please suggest. I am so puzzled and tensed..

I received RFE letter from USCIS for missing TB skin test result in the medical reports.I took TB skin test in 2007 and came out negative.Here is the test of RFE
"your application contained form I-693 in which the required TB skin test was not conducted. Please note there may be conflicting information on some published form I-693 instructions regarding when the chest X ray Report should be performed. It is required only when the TB skin test indicates a reaction equal to greater than 5 mm, or when the reason for why the TB skin test is medically inappropriate to perform has been annotated on theform I-693. Please submit a newly completed form I-693 indicating the results of the required skin test."
After consulting the doctor concerned, she filled up new I-693 form with 2007 test results and provide me I-69e form in a sealed envelop. Can you please let me know whether 2007 TB skin test results will be acceptible to USCIS or do I need to do another TB skin test? Please Help.

Perhaps there is a chance we'll see some action on the DREAM Act in 2011 albeit with some major tough to accept changes. The key areas likely to change are the education requirement (mandating actually receiving a degree versus simply attending school), the ability to sponsor relatives down the road when DREAM Act finally become citizens (at least 13 years out) and criminal bars on applying.

Pictures are listed in required list of documents but they don't ask for them always. My wife went for stamping 4 months back and they just looked at marriage-certificate and my approved petition....that's it ! But I have seen CO's asking for pics.
So it's a hit/miss kinda deal....

My H4 is expiring on 6th May 2011 and am planning to enroll in university in summer semester starting june 2011 and would be filing change of status also. my question is in case my F1 doesnt get approve before my H4 expires, will i get of status?Can i stay legally after H4 expires and before F1 gets approved?Pls advice.

I obtained my F1 visa in Aug,2001 for 5 years and I initially came here for M.S. I have continued for PhD in 2003 and visited India every two years. My F1 expired in Jul,2006 but my I-20 is valid until Dec,2008.The real problem is that I have applied for Canadian PR this Oct and expecting to get it by Oct,2008.
Once I get my PR, I have to go to Canada for Visa stamping and my questions are related to this:
1) Since my F1 expired, Can I come back to US after PR stamping, without needing an F1 visa.?
2) Is it advisable to get my F1 visa stamping in India or Canada next year i.e in Oct 2008, or would it be too late? (since that would be two years after visa expiry).
PS: I wanted to get my F1 stamping only if it were necessary to go to India.
Any suggestions would help me a lot and thanks so much in advance.

The lawyer sent a single check(I know !!! I know !!!)
Our applications got separated.
Mine came back on Aug 30th and my wifes last week
We have now refiled
This time it has gone for "special handling"-bypassing the mail room
I haven't got the receipt yet
Anyone who had a similar experience or went via special handling for some other reason...
How long does it take to get the receipt nowadays ?
(I couldn't see any receipt update on USCIS- I guess most of the people are past that stage)
Will special-handling speed up my Receipt OR EAD OR AP?

I am working on Windows 7 based application development in Silverlight. I have not been able to find a way to play a an audio file in windows 7 phone. I have been googling it since past few days but i could not get any solution of that. There is a class in C# with name SoundPlayer but i guess its not available in Windows 7 Phone.

Re entry to US every week is going to get increasingly trickier.
