First of all I am filing by postal mail USPS(not e-filing)
1)is it necessary to include I-765 receipt notice(EAD) with my AP application.. But I have only my last years one which will expire in a few months.
2) for AP renewal is it necessary to include marriage certificate for spouse
3) When filing by postal mail, and also considering i applied my I-485/I-140 before july 30/2007, old fee schedule... do i need to pay biometric fee for my renewal
4) I am in Texas and for mailing EAD and AP - can I send them together for me and my spouse. I see different PO Boxes for EAD and AP addresses for the Mesquite, TX address

Hi,
Just wanted to get some feedback whether its possible to get i-140 approved using an old approved labor ?
- Case:EB3 ROW.
- The company A merged with B. (may be a successor-in-interst)
- Labor from B approved in 2005 w/pd=2005
- Labor from A approved in 2006 w/pd=2002.
- I-140 using 2005 LB approved with B
- Lawyer suggests to use the A's 2002 Labor to file a new i-140 under company B. He says that as per some law the old labor is still valid until end of this year. Please advice.

I have question to all of you. I am the primary filer to I-485. My wife worked on EAD last six months. Now she is out of project. Planning to go india and come back after 6 months.
Is there any problem, if stays more than 6 months out side country.?

I have filed my 485 on July 2007. I am currently working using EAD and last time entered US in Feb 09 using AP. My current AP is valid till Oct 17 2009. I will be going out of the country for few days in early Sep. I wanted to know can I apply for my renewal of AP now. I read the following in the I-131 filing instructions (page-4)
If you travel before the advanced parole document is issued, your application will be deemed abandoned if:
1. You depart the United States; or
2. The person seeking advance parole attempts to enter the United States before a decision is made on the application
So can I apply for my AP renewal now (I am assuming if I apply now it won't get approved before my travel in Sep) or do I need to first complete my travel in Sep, come back to US and then apply for the renewal.
Please reply.

I had filed my i-485 along wid my whole famliy on 2nd july . My checks got cashed yesterday for all of us. But when i seee online its shows case pending for all of us expect my younger son ..w ehave reciept but we cant locate his reciept number online.Its showing number doesnot exist . So wat can be the reason behind it. I have reciept numbers for his i-485 and i765 juss can see his status online..

I have not used AP to enter so far but I do not believe AP is related to employment and questions related to that should not be asked when entering the country if one is using AP to enter. Just IMHO

Hi,
I recently (a couple of months ago) switched firms. I have a valid H-1B visa stamp from my prev employer (expiring in Aug 2009). My H-1B transfer was approved and I have a valid I-797.
Can I travel to London, for a week's vacation and re-enter with my prev employer's h-1b visa stamp and the new I-797? I've read that this is possible and that folks have done it.
I was wondering if there was any change to the rule or anything I should be aware about.

My H1 stamping has expired. I have traveled using AP before. Just wanted to know if anyone traveled back with AP via Brussels?
Email I received from Belgium consulate just says "Indian nationals do not need transit visa". I am sure it means they do not bother about H1/AP as long as you have legal entry for the destination. Just wanted to re-check.

It's true that Obama is focusing on the economy now, but if we do a massive flower campaign now it will get us press and attention and "loosen" things up, then we can go for a second even bigger flower campaign in the spring and in the summer when the previous flower campaign will still be alive in the public's memory. The questions is, if i have an approved I-140 from Company A and I switch over to Company B, then would i be able to file my 485 based on 140 related to Company A when my PD for Labor (company A) becomes current.
