Very good news.. Keep it up.. I have done my share of calling/writing to the Representatives...
I just spoke with an Immigration Representative of my Senator. She knows me as I met her last year with my employer for my other issue.
She just informed me that we are (Not only we but whole Congress) shocked with un-precedent action of DOS/USCIS for July VB. Senator's Washington DC office is working on this issue including immediate legislative relief to Employment Based immigration. She is well aware of whole drama of July VB. I am going to call Washington DC Office as well.
I encourage every one call to their Senator and HR and speak with Immigration Representative. I think first time media and lawmakers have acknowledged the problem of Employment Based Immigration.

My Loan is not Jumbo loan, its under 400K
I don't have 20% down. But I was speaking to the Loan officer, he was telling, it doesn't matter if you put more down or not, 3yr forward continuous visa is req. I never heard this earlier.
I finally got the Loan Approved !
The underwriters was OK with my H1B + I-140 Approval + I-485 Reciept.

After a long 60 day wait, I m finally getting the house on Monday. :)

If you are seeing Light at the end of the tunnel (visa recapture), beware, It could be another train (almight uscis can ruin anything) approaching from other side of the tunnel.

actually people are already complacent ..eb2 is in joy and waiting impatiently, eb3 people have given up hope and there is not much news from core. people may not like my post but that is the fact

I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

Instead of telling them what they will lose, lets tell them what they gained from us and what they would not have if it were not for the immigrants.
If two thirds of all PhD's are foreign born. And 60% of Masters degree holders are also not US citizens. Now this is the best talent that US corporations need to keep up the competative edge. No infosys wipro can fill this void.

I don't know much about the process, I just came to America less than 1 year back, but I know my lawyer was supposed to mail application to reach on July 2, 2007 instead he made a mistake to reach on June 29, 2007 because he said July 1, 2007 was a Sunday so he would rather be early than late. USCIS accepted and receipted me.
I am the manager in my brother's gas station in LA. He got a investor visa when he came from Punjab but now he is citizen. I am on EB3. I have Bachelors in Business Administration from Panjab University in Chandigarh. I can't be EB1 or EB2, I barely made it through college :D

No, it does not even do that. it does not let FOIA donors logon too.
First, the whole concept of donor based organisation is so stupid.
I mean really stupid.
If the donor based thing is ON, the future of IV is not good.
Yeah, IV does good work by talking to people all around, from different stratas of lawmaking and what not.
but get real, look around guys, information is everywhere, not only here. and you are working for the greater good of the community, only donors are not going to be benefitting from this.

I read so many posts regarding india facing something similar to sub prime mortgage.
US is a very stabilized in terms of homes.
Consider India's growing high earning population.
They will need home to live as cities expand and people will be there to still buy.

In which state you are? Did you call your senators , if yes please put the name of state and senators name here..so I can match with my list and tell you that whether I called them or not.

Flower campaign had similar fate - 2 to 3 truck loads of flowers just went into hospital. it was more of Lofgren involvement that helped us.
We need to think with cool heads and execute things properly - first organize ourselves - gain support - consult our counsel - come out with proper plan of execution.
From what I observed the action of USCIS redirecting flowers to hospital and armymen backfired. It was perceived as an insult to the brave soldiers.

Common people. We desperately need atleast THIS campaign to be a success. I mean as a team the IV core CANNOT ask for an amount lesser than $5.00.
We are a member base of 30,000 members, cant we all contribute this once? It is exactly FIVE dollars that we ask of ALL members.
If we cannot get every single silent/dormant member to contribute atleast this once, then maybe we should just pack up our bags and fold, coz if we cant even contribute FIVE DOLLARS for our own betterment, we are in a very sorry state.

My wife is still waiting for the AP. The receipt notice gives August 6 as the receipt date. She called USCIS last Tuesday and was told that USCIS is running really slow and is taking 180 days to process APs. The lady she spoke to asked my wife to call back after "it is 180 days past her notice date". Her 180 days will complete on February 6. We have postponed out travel plans several times.

Eb2 people are highly qualified compared to EB3. I encourage EB2 people do the following before taking the action against eb3 to eb2.
1.Get more GC numbers.
2.Upgrade your self to EB1. So that you can get visas immediately.
3.Fight for GC approvals in FIFO order.
If you ignore above issues but focus on Eb3 to Eb2, you are definitely from EB2 and you want to fight for your own GC. Nothing else matters to you.
