Here is my point. I spend several hours 3-4 hours at least every day looking through the forum posts hoping to find ways i can contribute to efforts. There are several ideas that are generated in the forum. But cannot find out who is leading it. All i am saying is if we can have a listing of initiatives with some names associated. So i can contribute to the ones that i can support. I am not sure if i am asking for too much here. I am not a IT guy. I do not know what it takes to post it in the front page.

Thanks for your inputs. What I am suggesting is that, every one of us should volunteer for our own good. If you can spend some time, I sugggest that, you send an email to IV core offering them your time so that you can share some of their work load.

Its hurting to see that no major movements in jan bulletin. :mad:
Sad story continues. Only EB3 moved by 1 month surprisingly.
There is a chance that during this year, EB2 might become unavailable too.

Something's going on in the Senate....recapture of unused visa is proposed as an amendment to labor and healthcare appopriations bill.....let's see what happens tomorrow...expect that it will be tackled tomorrow!

Them democrats, they will never help us. Because as per them "we are stealing jobs". We should really start something like the flower campaign to expose all these double talkers. I mean go and see the youtube video by Hillary about how she likes legal immigrants and all that BS. Now contrast that with her "Ney" vote for an amendment which would have helped the legal immigrant community to a great extent. With the momentum that we have currently with media, we should really start exposing these people for who they are, a bunch of hypocrites!.

Receipting people are not the ones adjudicating the cases. They are different people. So there is no used stopping the receipting.
If this news is true, then we can see "wild" approvals before the end of September. Some people with complete cases may overtake others.
Its already end of September, today is the last working day for the month of Sep and moreover do you think the IOs at USCIS are determined to allocate/ use all the visa numbers for this fiscal year??? HELL NO , they give a rat's a** about it and that is why we din't see any "wild" approvals.

I don't understand why EB3-I is a lost cause. Isn't the percentage distribution for the various categories taken into account? I don;t think I understand how the percentage distrubution works probably. Can anyone please explain?
India and China get most of their share through not only the allocated %age but also through the spillover from ROW. Since there is less spillover from ROW for EB-3, the amount of visa for EB-3I is less.

I am not giving any benefit of doubt rather expressing my view. No doubt this bill is ringing alarm bells , no matter whether its staffer etc its senators who are bringing on to it , i agree , but the key thing as carefully drafted poison is this draft it cant be achieved by senators in days of negotiations they claim, its been definately on these tables for even months before its publicised. By saying this , i am very much surprised when i went through all the text of it , its shameful on all these ppl for trying to sink ppl like us for vote bank politics. Atleast i thought they would do some good but its becoming more harm day by day.

My attorney told me that there is a chanse that they will be able to approve my DS230 this time, before the retro will hit us again in August. Hope his data is correct. Usually they need 5 - 8 weeks for DS230. And as far as I understand the process, they work with DS230 only if your PD is current, so until the 17-th of August we might hear some good news about DS230. But this is the only positive outcome of the July VB for us.
If the October VB shows "current" for our PD we would have our appointment in consulate. Othervise, no GC in near future.
From my point of view, the chanses to have our interview in october or november are slim. There is a lot of applicants in EB3 before us + I485 recent August approvals. Where they will find visas for AOS applicants? They have already waisted all visa numbers for 2007, but still alowing to file I485... About I485 I am not sure, correct me if I am wrong. Anyway, I believe that there will be severe retrogression begining from the next Fiscal Year.
The only hope we have - is "bridge legislation" for schedule A. Without it even persons on advanced stages of CP will have to wait months or even years for the interview:::((((

Just curious.:::))) Where are you from, peyton sawyer? Where in the US are you going to live? I am going to High Point, NC.

Mr. Aytes talked about procedural changes that they undertook which moved them away from First in, first out. They are now approving petitions (not just adjustments -485's) which would have an opportunity to immigrate sooner, like a person from ROW.

IV friends ,
Last week my lawyer has asked for copy of Driving License of me and my wife for filing the H1-B and H4 extension.
Then one of my friend told me that INS is asking for copy of the driving license for filing the h1-B extension.
My employer is supposed to file my 3 year Extension based on I-140 in Dec this year( Dec 2007) but my Licences expires on Sept 2008, So I will I be just getting the extension till Sept 2008 and Not 3 year extension.
Any Idea on that
I have already submitted my driving license to my lawyer.
Please Let me know because I was couting on that I will get 3 year extension this time :(
